I am a young female birder in the state of New York, and I created this website to share my love of birding with others through my photos, articles, short stories about my birding adventures, and much more.
I've been an avid birder, nature lover, and conservationist since the age of five. I got hooked during a nature walk at Teatown Reservation in Westchester, NY with Charlie Roberto. His love, passion, and immense knowledge of the natural world inspired me to become a birder, naturalist, and conservationist.
I am fortunate to be part of such an amazing and supportive community and have met some incredible birders and teachers along the way. Joan Collins, owner of Adirondack Birding Guide | Tours | Avian Expeditions & Workshops, taught me the importance of birding with your ears. Birding in heavily forested areas requires you to identify birds by sound rather than by sight. Thank you, Joan for helping me develop this necessary skill. Without it, birding in areas like the Adirondacks or Baxter State Park would be quite difficult.
Located in the heart of the Hudson Valley New York region, Girlsbirdtoo is a bird watching area like no other. Our beautiful natural surroundings provide the perfect habitat for a variety of bird species, making it a must-visit destination for bird lovers.
I never leave home without my bombproof Vortex Optics. Vortex's unconditional support has been instrumental in my birding and conservation journey. Thank you, Donald Ditzenberger for all that you do.
